Sketching Choochokam

Mega and Sara, dressed in 19th century costumes, looked the part of the period. They sat quietly several minutes at a time while sketchers and artists painted them. The sun was behind them creating soft shadows on the front of their bodies.



Ten-year-old McKenna was a great model -- colorfully dressed against the yellow chair and sitting in the shadow of the blue screen behind her.

Join us in Langley this weekend at the 37th annual Choochokam Music and Arts Festival where we'll be sketching costumed characters from WICA (Whidbey Island Center for the Arts) and South Whidbey Childrens' Theater productions. What fun! Look for the sketchers (along with many other artists-in-action) at one of the Fine Art Demonstration tents, Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm.
